Celebrating the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China
On 2 December 1949, the fourth session of the Central People’s Government Committee accepted the proposal of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference and passed the “Resolution on the National Day of the People’s Republic of China,” designating 1 October each year — the great day on which the founding of the People’s Republic was proclaimed — as National Day. This year marks exactly 70 years since the founding of the People’s Republic of China.
