On 25 August 2013, the packaging system of the flour workshop and the equipment of the new noodle workshop at the Jining company started up and passed their trial run, marking a milestone in the installation and commissioning of the Jining technical-upgrade project. It was a solid step in raising the grade and innovation level of Lisheng’s deep wheat processing and in transforming the group from traditional to modern noodle manufacturing.

The Jining upgrade was the largest in scale and highest in investment since the group’s founding, and the one that applied the most advanced automation and information technology. Through rational planning and design of the plant and workshops, the flour workshop can now achieve centralised production and storage with distributed logistics, while computers replace manual dispatching with automatic settlement and information transfer — improving quality and shipping efficiency. The new noodle workshop introduced modern, advanced, mature and efficient equipment, commissioning 850-type and 650-type premium dried-noodle lines; it also expanded the product range laterally, launching a noodle-sheet line and a non-fried instant-noodle line for the first time. The project’s automatic control systems are all produced by Schneider, Siemens, ABB and others; the main process equipment features integrated, highly automated programs, enabling automated production and adding new strength to the company’s diversified product output.

The successful trial run was the result of the combined efforts and close cooperation of the Jining upgrade team and the outside installation crews, who ensured the smooth progress of construction, installation, commissioning and start-up. The project will effectively safeguard stable product quality, reduce the influence of human factors, lower production consumption, save manpower and materials, and bring the overall process equipment to a leading domestic level.

For overseas customers, this upgrade introduced international automation control systems from Schneider, Siemens and ABB, and commissioned 850-type and 650-type premium noodle lines plus two new product lines for noodle sheets and non-fried instant noodles — giving the flour workshop centralised production and storage and computer-automated dispatch, with overall process equipment at a leading domestic level. High automation and minimal human intervention deliver batch-to-batch consistency, the core capability for fulfilling export and OEM orders. The diversified product mix — premium dried noodles, noodle sheets, non-fried instant noodles — also lets Lisheng serve the private-label needs of overseas supermarket, foodservice and instant-food channels, offering customised contract manufacturing from formulation and specification to packaging.
